28 Mar 2011 - The countdown is on to FILEX 2011 in April that I will be attending up in Sydney.  Currently I am have a rest from body building as I came down with the flu and was knocked out hard.  However I continue my resistance training, boxing and running throughout the week.  My main focus for healthy & fitness at the moment is to recover from being ill, slim down and increase my cardiovascular fitness.  Two weeks ago I completed a 5km run as part of the Cape Paterson Triathlon series and I have the Mother's Day classic 8km run in my sights next.  At FILEX I will participating in numerous fitness classes so I plan on being super fit to do these.  Its really important to outline your goals clearly otherwise you lose sight of whay you are exercising.  Even if you just enjoy the benfits of regular exercise its important to have a goal in order to stay motivated and keep on improving.
 
 
27 Sep 2010 - I am currently training for the 10km Melbourne Marathon in order to slim down.  My last run was for 5.3km and I completed that in 34 minutes (last attempt was 38 minutes). As with most business owners I am struggling to fit in my own training, however as I don't make excuses for myself I have roped in clients to run with me during their training sessions and have committed myself to completing the run.  I am confident I will complete the 10km, however I may pull up very sore afterwards.  I am loving the results the higher intensity running is giving me.  By taking my training up to another notch I have noticed a significant drop in my body fat, weight and size.  However with running comes a depletion of muscle mass so it wont be for long.  I am keen to commence my weight training again in anticipation of a body building competition next year.
